The Blue Ridge Parkway and Shenandoah's Skyline Trail runs from North Caroline to the northern tip of Virginia. It is 574 miles of non-commercial paved highway with lots of look offs, hiking trails, camp grounds, information centers, country farms and many, many ups and downs.
